We are being induced tomorrow!! After weeks of not being dialated or effaced, I am surprised and relieved that my doctor has allowed us to schedule the induction. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I still wasn't dialated, but he checked my cervix twice and decided that we are okay to deliver. We had originally planned on delivering at McKay Dee Hospital, but they have a stipulation that if you're not dialated then they won't induce you, unless you're 41 weeks or over. So we are going to deliver at Davis Hospital instead because they don't have that same rule. I'm kind of glad because it's a little bit closer for us and most of our family. We will be delivering right on our due date! I never thought I would make it all the way up to my due date. I guess I had always hoped that my water would break or I would go into labor early, but that never happened.
I will post pics of Talin and let you know how the delivery went. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. Now that it's finally here, I'm a little bit nervous. Nervous about the delivery - not knowing what to expect or how long it will take, and nervous about the fact that we are going to be parents here real quick. I'm so excited for the opportunity to be a mom and for this new chapter in our life.

What's New.....
So I haven't updated the blog in over a month. I am such a slacker! I figured I'd let you know what is new with us. Well, we painted the baby's room. Actually, I should say Brandon painted the room, but I did help with touchup. The crib bedding is teddy bear themed so we painted under the chair rail around the room a dark brown. It should be cute once we get all the furniture and everything organized. Right now it's kind of a cluttered mess. This last Sunday Brandon got released as the Priest advisor and I got called to be the Beehive advisor. I hope I enjoy it! I've never worked with the young women before, so I think it will be a great experience. I am going to miss my primary class though. They could be a pain at times, but they were always so fun & cute which made up for it. I could probably cover an entire wall with all the drawings & pictures they made for me over the last year...so cute. Brandon didn't get a new calling yet. He always gets off so easy. ;) Well, that's all I can think of right now. Only 8 more weeks till our little guy should arrive (or less, if we're lucky. Just as long as he doesn't come on or the day before Christmas!)

Baby Update
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday on my 26 weeks, 6 days mark. This appointment was for my glucose test. The test came back normal for my glucose and iron count...yay. The baby is now weighing 2 & 1/2 lbs and everything looks good. He has been very active the last few weeks, moving around and kicking all the time!
I just have to mention how great yard sales are. For those of you who have babies, you know how much STUFF you have to buy. So I have spent the last 2 Saturdays, once with Amanda and once with Brandon, yard selling. And can I just say, I've gotten some pretty good stuff. I got a bouncer for $3, 2 pack 'n plays totalling $25, an exersaucer for $10, lots of clothes, and the list goes on...
For those who might be wondering, we have NOT picked a name yet. We have it narrowed down to about 5 names, but we can't agree on one! We are both stubborn and not willing to give in to what the other person wants HA. This is our list currently:
Tanner
Ethan
Brody
Dylan
Tallan
Feel free to comment on any of the names (especially Brody or Dylan. Those are my 2 favs.) :)

Our new shed
Brandon has been working non-stop the last couple of weeks trying to get our shed finished. Well he finally got it done last Thursday! His dad helped him pour cement for the foundation and helped in the beginning stages, but Brandon did most of it all himself. I'm so proud of him! Doesn't it look great?

Brandon's Hair Cut Mishap
So last night Brandon decided he wanted to cut his hair and have me help him even it out. Well I told him it he should just go to a salon because I'm not good with a shaver and I didn't want him or I to screw something up (He has such nice, thick, hair). So anyway, he cut most of it and had me "help" blend it. Well, I didn't realize the guard wasn't on and I cut out a big chunk of hair in the back of his head! I screwed it up big time! Brandon just kinda laughed it off and the only thing left to do was buzz it all off. So...thanks to me (and him for not going to a salon like I said ;)) he's got a brand new hair do.
He looks like a tough guy now. ;)

Camping
We went camping this weekend up Logan canyon which was a lot of fun. It's something that Brandon and I have never done together. We went with his dad and Lynette, some of their friends, and Lynette's daughter and family. On Friday night we walked a little hike near our camp spot and then later drove down to Bear Lake and got shakes. Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast and then we went and toured the Minnetonka Caves, which was kinda cool. We brought Kuda along and he loved every minute of camping. He enjoyed the hikes and getting to run around outside all day. He got sooooo dirty. He was white when we arrived on Friday and brown by the time we left on Sunday. He had a lot of fun though. Here's a pic of dirty Kuda. We didn't get any pics of us though! We need to get better at taking pictures.

It's a Boy!!
We had our doctor's appointment this morning and the doc says we're having a boy. :) It was kind of hard for him to tell in the ultrasound because the little guy had his hands between his legs at one point he he. But the doc's pretty sure it's a boy. He will be able to tell us 100% sure at our next appointment though.
I took a pic of the ultrasound photo, so it's kind of hard to tell but he has his head down and arms together.

Happy Birthday Brandon!
So last week was a very busy birthday week in my family. Kim's birthday was the 15th, Angie's the 18th, Brandon's the 20th, Grandma Barnes' the 21st, and also Father's Day!! It was a lot of fun. Unfornutely for Brandon, he had to work on his birthday and Father's day. But we still celebrated. His mom took us to Olive Garden for dinner on Friday night along with Brandon's sister, Brittany, and her husband John. It's always fun to get together with the fam. When Brandon got home from work on Saturday (his B-day) we ate out a Guadalajara Grill. Brandon told me not to buy him anything cuz he wants to pick out stereo equipment for his car. What he truly wanted though was a motorcycle. He's been wanting one so bad for the past couple of months. But he decided against it because we have a baby on the way. I just have to say how much I love him. He always treats me so well. He is a loving husband and very supportive of the things I do. He's a very hard worker! He works 7 days on (12 hr. shifts) & 7 days off, and on his weeks off he is always working to get something done. Whether it's mowing the yard, working on the shed..he always has a project he wants to get done. He's also a perfectionist. He's very thorough in just about anything he does. Some people may not know, but he is a great artist. His specialty is drawing cars, and he is amazing at it! I could go on & on about the wonderful person he is. He is everything to me & I feel so lucky to have him as my husband and future father of our kids.
Happy Birthday babe! I promise we'll get you that motorcyle. ;)

Dr. Appointment
I had my second Dr.'s appointment on Monday. I am seeing Dr. Naisbitt at the Circle of Life Women's Center. Brandon and I both really liked him. He is really personable and definitely knows his stuff. We had our first ultrasound and got to hear the baby's heartbeat! It was awesome to see that there is actually a being growing inside of me...so weird! At the Circle of Life they give you a dvd and record the ultrasounds at every appointment, which is one of the reasons I switched to this facility. It was a really cool experience and I look forward to many more (where you can actually see that it's a real baby). Dr. Naisbitt said that I should be able to find out what I'm having at my next appointment, July 8th!! Woot woot.
The little jelly bean. :)

Kim & Josh's Fairytale Wedding
So yesterday was the big day. Josh & Kim finally got married. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have been to. Everything went very smoothly. There were thunderstorms during the reception, but at least we were covered so it didn't matter. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and the ceremony was great. I was a bawl baby during it (I blame it on being pregnant ha).
The luncheon was held at the Old Meeting House in Holladay. It used to be a church that has been remodeled and is now used for weddings. The food was great! Chicken cordon bleu, rice, carrots, salad, rolls, and cheesecake...mmmm.
The best part of the luncheon was when Josh got up and sang to Kim "I'm the Luckiest" by Ben Folds. We were all crying. It was just so cute and sweet.
The reception was held at Le Jardin in Sandy which is a really pretty greenhouse decked out in plants and flowers. It was beautiful. And they did the best dessert ever...an ice cream bar. You got to pick your ice cream flavors and toppings. It was so yummy.
After the bouquet and garder toss, we all went outside where their photographer had a cute little bike set up that said Just Married on the back. She had Josh ride it around a few times with Kim chasing him...so funny. :P
A few cousins got together and decked out their car. The pic is kind of dark.
It was a really fun day and I wish Kim and Josh the best! They are one very happy couple!

Gracie is here!!
For those of you who don't know, my best friend Amanda and her hubby Blake have been going through the adoption process for a year now. They were lucky to meet Jenna who was thinking of giving up her baby once it was born. Jenna picked them to be the adoptive parents. So we have all waited the last few weeks for the baby to arrive. She finally got here yesterday at 4:43 pm and weighed in at 7 lbs, 6 oz and 19 in. long. They will get to bring her home later this evening. She is so beautiful and is just an amazing blessing.
This pic was taken by Blake at the hospital yesterday.
This was me holding her at the hospital today. She is so cute! She kept making all these funny faces he he.

Memorial Weekend
I haven't put up a post in a while so I figured I'd tell you about our weekend. Brandon worked most of the weekend (7am - 7pm every day), so it was a pretty laid back. I spent Saturday preparing my sharing time for Sunday, which didn't go very well. I talked about the Holy Ghost and I just don't know if the kids got into it. Most of the time they just stared at me with blank looks on their faces. But then again, it is Jr. primary hehe. I went to a movie and lunch with my parents yesterday afternoon. And later last night we went & got ice cream and saw Terminator with Blake & Amanda. I'm sad that the weekend is over already. I could use a vacation!
Tomorrow I will be 9 weeks along!! My next doctors appointment is scheduled for June 8th at the Circle of Life Women's Center. Thanks for all of your doctor recommendations!

We're Expecting :)
After 6 months of trying I'm happy to announce that I'm pregnant!! I am about 7 weeks and our due date is December 30th. I guess we just like to plan things around the same time of year 'cause our anniversary is Dec. 15th and my birthday is in January lol. But we are just so excited!!!!!

Here we come World
We are now the proud owners of a timeshare. Brandon signed us up for one of those time share presentations, and we only intended to go to get the free stuff. We've been to these before and always said no, but last night I couldn't refuse. I say I because Brandon was very hesitant about the whole idea. We bought into one of their cheapest plans, and if we save up our bonus points we can go somewhere really nice in a couple years. I would like to go to Hawaii, or Mexico, and our dream vacation is to go to Australia or New Zealand someday. This will hopefully be possible now. We hope to be able to invite family and friends with us on future trips, and the nice thing is we have it for life and can pass it on to our kids. So that's our latest investment...kinda crazy and spur of the moment, but I'm just excited to start seeing new places we've never been to before. You only live once!

Kuda Bear
So I don't have a baby yet to talk about and post pictures of. But we have our dog Kuda, and he is the sweetest little guy ever. He is sooo soft and he loves to cuddle. He's like a live teddy bear. So we just taught him how to do a high five and he just loves doing it! He also loves to play. It's the first thing Brandon does when he gets home...goes out in the backyard to play with Kuda. Kuda expects it, lol. He mostly just runs around the yard a million miles an hour and Brandon watches, but it's just so cute. I know this sounds cheesy, but he loves Brandon and I unconditionally and he is a such a great part of our family.

Memory Lane
So here at work we have been taking a trip down memory lane. I had the opening song of Beauty and the Beast in my head this morning, and then we just started singing the theme songs of a bunch of the old Disney movies. We sang the entire song of The Little Mermaid lol! (I get a lot done at work ;) We also looked up Duck Tales and Animaniacs on YouTube. Do you guys remember those shows?? One of mine and Angie's favorite shows growing up was Lady Lovely Locks. Anytime my parents would take us to the video store we ALWAYS wanted to get Lady Lovely Locks. We even had the dolls and the princess castle. For anyone who cares, this is the intro to the show:

I tried to get the opening theme song on here, but they took the video off the web.
Ha! Good times.....

The Weekend
So this past weekend was pretty fun! On Friday a bunch of us got together and ate food and watched Twilight at Kyle's house (Kyle is my boss, for those of you who don't know). I made congo squares, which didn't turn out the best but they tasted all right. I'm pretty proud of myself since I hardly ever bake lol. I was surprised that Brandon and Blake didn't make fun of the movie as MUCH as I thought they would. I think Brandon was trying really hard to give it a good chance hehe.
On Saturday morning Brandon, Blake, Amanda and I went to the shooting range. This is Brandon's new fettish. He has gotten 3 guns in the past 3 months. He goes shooting just about every other weekend, and he really wanted me to try it out. So I did. And it was pretty fun. My right side was kinda sore from the Mozen rifle that kicks sooo hard. I only shot that one 3 times and I had had enough ha. My favorite gun to shoot was a little 22 pistol. It's really easy to handle and easier to hit targets with. So watch out everyone! I know how to handle guns now. ;) Just kidding.

Brittany's Wedding
My sister-in-law Brittany got married on Friday! They had a luncheon at a church at 2:00. Then the ceremony was held at Rickenbachers at the Ogden Airport. The reception was also held there. The wedding was beautiful. The decorations, her wedding dress, the CAKE, everything. Her colors were Navy Blue and Silver. I didn't get any good pics of the bridesmaid's dresses, but they were so cute. But the best part was having all of the Prescott's together to celebrate. It doesn't happen very often. So it was a great day.
Congrats Brittany & John Wetters!!!

Brandon's little scare
So I'm at work yesterday and I get a call from Brandon. He says he left work and is on the way to the hospital because he's in a lot of pain and is very nauseous! I wanted to leave work right then to go meet him at the hospital, but he said he would call me in a little bit and let me know what is going on. So I get a call a little while later and he says to come to the hospital. He sounded horrible and I was so worried! So I immediately got up and left and drove to McKay Dee Hospital. The whole drive there I just kept thinking in my mind of all the horrible things that could be going on. What if it's his appendix, what if he has some disease, what if he has cancer (Lol, I worry a lot). When I get to the hospital he is laying on the gurney and looks to be a lot better. I just hugged and squeezed him to death. Apparently, he passed a kidney stone a little bit before I arrived. He said he felt 100% better, which I was grateful for! He described the pain to me and said it's one of the worst things he has ever gone through. I'm just sad that I wasn't there during all of his pain. Not that there is anything I could've done to make it go away, but I could just be there to comfort him and help walk. The doctor said that it is likely that he will have more in the future, which really sucks. But at least he will be able to recognize what is going on. I love my husband so much and I'm soooo glad that he is feeling better, and that everything is okay!!

Valentine's Day
I feel like I hardly ever add new posts, and that's because I feel like I have nothing new to share ha. But I will tell you what we did on Valentine's day. Firt of all, I got Brandon a card and a box of chocolates (we decided to keep it simple this year). He got me one of those HUGE cards and some potted tulips. They're so pretty. Then in the afternoon we went and saw "Taken" with Blake and Amanda. That was a way good movie. If you like action/thriller movies, then I definitely recommend it. Later that night we ate at Texas Roadhouse w/ Blake & Amanda...it was yummy. We called in at 4:30 and didn't get seated till 7:20!! But it was all good. We did some shopping around & stuff. Then later that night Brandon and I just hung out together. It was great!
BTW, my sister Angie is looking for a job. If anyone knows of any places that are hiring, let me know!

We Almost Lost Kuda
So I know some of you have heard about the fiasco we went through yesterday, but I'm telling it again ha. So I had left Kuda in the house while we were at work but blocked the stairs so he couldn't get through. When I came home from work yesterday Kuda was nowhere to be found. I looked all through the house and in the back yard calling his name. My first thought was that somebody had broken in and taken him, but nothing was out of place. I immediately called Brandon to see if he had Kuda, and of course he didn't since he was just getting off work. As soon as Brandon was home we went to our next door neighbor Bob to see if he had seen anything suspicious. Apparently, his son was home around 2:30 and saw Kuda wandering around in the front, and the kitchen door was OPEN a crack. I guess he tried to get Kuda, but he wouldn't come. And I don't know if it was that kid or someone else, but someone called the police. Bob's son saw 2 police cars and animal control at our house. Once we found this out we contacted animal control and they had Kuda. We immediately left to go pick him up. He was so so excited to see us and we were relieved and happy to see him safe. I was so worried! He's my baby. I just can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child! So I think what happened is that the door didn't latch all they way when I left for work. I'm just happy Kuda is safe. I definitely learned a lesson in making sure my house is SECURELY locked up every day.

Brittany & Connie are gettin' married too!
I totally forgot to mention my sister-in-law, Brittany, who is getting married to her boyfriend Jonathan. Her wedding date is set for March 6th. And my mother-in-law, Connie, is finally marrying Doug this Thursday, January 8th. I'm so happy for all of them. This must be the year of weddings!
Kimmy's gettin' married!
My sister, Kim, just got engaged to her boyfriend Josh. They are getting married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9th. I am so happy for them. They're a great couple and I know they will have a wonderful life together. So I'll just briefly tell how Josh proposed. He had a limo pick them up at the Gateway and then drove them up by a hill/park in SLC (not sure where it was at exactly). He proposed there because that is where they first met. And then fireworks went off...yes...fireworks! It'll be fun to help my little sis plan her wedding. Since I have experience, I can give her some guidelines and tips. For example, make sure you have a professional do your wedding cake!!!!
