We Almost Lost Kuda

So I know some of you have heard about the fiasco we went through yesterday, but I'm telling it again ha. So I had left Kuda in the house while we were at work but blocked the stairs so he couldn't get through. When I came home from work yesterday Kuda was nowhere to be found. I looked all through the house and in the back yard calling his name. My first thought was that somebody had broken in and taken him, but nothing was out of place. I immediately called Brandon to see if he had Kuda, and of course he didn't since he was just getting off work. As soon as Brandon was home we went to our next door neighbor Bob to see if he had seen anything suspicious. Apparently, his son was home around 2:30 and saw Kuda wandering around in the front, and the kitchen door was OPEN a crack. I guess he tried to get Kuda, but he wouldn't come. And I don't know if it was that kid or someone else, but someone called the police. Bob's son saw 2 police cars and animal control at our house. Once we found this out we contacted animal control and they had Kuda. We immediately left to go pick him up. He was so so excited to see us and we were relieved and happy to see him safe. I was so worried! He's my baby. I just can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child! So I think what happened is that the door didn't latch all they way when I left for work. I'm just happy Kuda is safe. I definitely learned a lesson in making sure my house is SECURELY locked up every day.

Brittany & Connie are gettin' married too!

I totally forgot to mention my sister-in-law, Brittany, who is getting married to her boyfriend Jonathan. Her wedding date is set for March 6th. And my mother-in-law, Connie, is finally marrying Doug this Thursday, January 8th. I'm so happy for all of them. This must be the year of weddings!

Kimmy's gettin' married!

My sister, Kim, just got engaged to her boyfriend Josh. They are getting married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9th. I am so happy for them. They're a great couple and I know they will have a wonderful life together. So I'll just briefly tell how Josh proposed. He had a limo pick them up at the Gateway and then drove them up by a hill/park in SLC (not sure where it was at exactly). He proposed there because that is where they first met. And then fireworks went off...yes...fireworks! It'll be fun to help my little sis plan her wedding. Since I have experience, I can give her some guidelines and tips. For example, make sure you have a professional do your wedding cake!!!!
